Privacy Policy

With this Privacy Policy, I inform you about the processing of personal data when you use my website. Personal data is any data by which you can be personally identified.

This website serves to provide information about my services and to enable contact.

Purposes and legal bases

I process personal data for the following purposes:

  • Provision of the website (connection data/server log files)
  • Handling inquiries via the contact form
  • Communication by email or phone
  • IT security and abuse prevention

The legal bases are, in particular, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps prior to entering into a contract/performance of a contract), Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure operation and optimization), and, where required, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent).

Hosting and provision of the website

My website is hosted by Vercel Inc. When you access the website, technically necessary data is processed in order to deliver the website (e.g. IP address, date/time, requested page, referrer URL, browser/operating system).

This data is generally processed in server log files and serves the secure and stable operation of the website.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure operation).

Contact and contact form

If you contact me via the contact form or by email, I process the information you provide (e.g. name, email address, company, message) in order to handle your inquiry and communicate with you.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (efficient handling of inquiries).

I keep inquiries for as long as this is necessary for processing and documentation and then delete them in accordance with the statutory retention periods.

Business Transition Check and Perspective Comparison

On my website, you can complete a Business Transition Check to obtain a structured assessment of selected organisational conditions relevant to a business transition.

You do not initially need to provide your name or email address to complete the individual quick check. Your answers and the results calculated from them are processed in order to provide you with the assessment.

If you request your personal results and working report or create a perspective comparison, I additionally process the contact details you provide, in particular your name and email address. These data are used to provide you with the report or access to your perspective comparison and to send notifications required for this purpose.

Perspective Comparison

The perspective comparison allows assessments from several people relating to the same company to be combined and compared. The person initiating the perspective comparison can create and share invitation links with other people, for example managers or key employees.

When participating, the role selected or assigned via the invitation link, the answers to the Business Transition Check and the resulting dimension scores are processed and assigned to the relevant perspective comparison.

The comparison may display aggregated results for different roles as well as differences between assessments. Its purpose is to make areas of agreement and differing perceptions visible.

The results are not described as fully anonymous. In particular, where participant groups are small, it may be possible to attribute individual assessments to a particular person despite aggregated or role-based presentation. Participants are informed of this before taking part.

The person who initiated the perspective comparison receives access to the intended comparison results. They may also receive email notifications when additional invited participants have completed the check or when new results are available in the perspective comparison they created. These notifications are used solely to operate and provide the perspective comparison initiated by that person and do not constitute subscription to a newsletter or other marketing communications.

The legal basis for processing in connection with the requested provision of the results report or perspective comparison is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where processing is necessary to provide the service requested by the user. Where processing is additionally based on consent, the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.

Personal data and comparison data relating to a perspective comparison are generally stored for no longer than twelve months after the last activity relating to that perspective comparison and are subsequently deleted, unless statutory retention obligations or another legal basis require longer storage.

Supabase may be used as a technical service provider and processor for the technical provision and storage of the Business Transition Check and perspective comparison. The email service provider Resend, already referred to in this Privacy Policy, is used to send results and notification emails. Further information about recipients and possible international data transfers can be found in the relevant sections of this Privacy Policy.

Sending emails / service provider (Resend)

A technical service provider may be used for the sending and delivery of emails (e.g. contact inquiries) (e.g. Resend). In this context, personal data (e.g. name, email address, message content) may be processed.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (handling the inquiry) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (reliable delivery/communication).

Cookies, tracking, and Vercel Analytics

I do not use any marketing or retargeting cookies.

I use Vercel Analytics to analyze the use of my website statistically. Only anonymized usage data (e.g. page views, device type, approximate region) is processed. No user profiles are created and no tracking takes place for marketing purposes.

Vercel Analytics works without the use of marketing cookies. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the technical optimization and statistical analysis of my website).

Should tracking or marketing tools be introduced in the future, I will provide separate information here and obtain your consent where required.

Recipients and transfers to third countries

As part of hosting and email delivery, service providers may process data on my behalf. Processing in third countries (e.g. USA) cannot be ruled out. In such cases, I ensure that appropriate safeguards (e.g. Standard Contractual Clauses) are in place where required.

Your rights

You have the following rights under the GDPR:

  • Access (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • Rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • Erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
  • Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
  • Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
  • Objection to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)
  • Withdrawal of consent (Art. 7(3) GDPR)

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR).

Data security

I use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. However, complete security of data transmission on the internet cannot be guaranteed.

Status and changes

I may adapt this Privacy Policy if the legal or factual situation changes or if I introduce new services.
